Dr Rau broth

Anyone who has struggled with food intolerances knows that figuring it out is a process! I have done three different elimination diets in the past 5 years or so, and while each of them have helped me some, The Swiss Secret to Optimal Health by Dr. Thomas Rau is the one that has helped the most. Dr. Rau explains the "why"s and the "how"s and offers many healthy, yet yummy recipes. He also has you add tonics in addition to removing irritants. My favorite of the tonics is the Rau broth. With just 5 ingredients, it has become an important staple in my diet. I make it about twice a month. I drink it with breakfast or as a snack and use it in recipes. This my first video on You Tube. It is a one minute study of my Cicada House and thoughts about my ideas of possible "lifeworlds", a concept which I have been reading about in an academic course I am taking this quarter. This article (Wicks, P. G. & Reason, P. (2009). Initiating action research. Action Research Journal, (7)3, 243-262) backs up the questions I have been thinking about in my art and in my life. It talks about opening communication with questions such as “do I understand? Is it correct? Are the motives pure? Does it feel like the “right” thing to do?" (p245). Almost Home

Friday, July 6, 2012 - over 50 man power hours in the installation, my solo show opens. More than 150 people wander in and through the exhibition. About forty of my friends and family members braved the elements to attend, including cousins from Florida and friends from Puerto Rico who happened to be in Ohio. I really pushed myself and my family to the limits. But, I am pleased. It looks just like I hoped it would. I always love seeing my name in vinyl on a white gallery wall! This is the view from the street. Welcome to my inspired space of old and new, cozy and creepy, assembled, found and made. A dilapidated interior space, reminiscent of the miniature places I created in collaboration with my beloved silkworms.
